Why work gets in the way of work

I will start by letting everyone in on a secret, I am a Procrastinator which is why have not been updating this "blog" as much as i should but what are you going to? Any way since my last post I have won in my Dad's Grand Sport which was fun but also nerve racking seeing as I've only driven it once before. I also made progress on the Miata pulling the front end and under tray off. unfortunately I also have a job at school and a research project biding for my time this summer, which is why more progress has not been made on pulling the motor.

Good News! I have one week free from almost everything to get this project back on track (pun intended) I am stuck waiting for supply's for my research and I don't work till next Wednesday so other then still living on a farm full of animals that need to be taken care of daily, I can work on the car to my hearts content. Or a least till I can't feel my hands, and I will also try and update this "blog" more often.

Underdog Miata History

ch.1 Before it was the Underdog Miata it is now, this montego blue 1997 Mazda, it was bought with a little over 200,000 miles on it, and a dented finish panel. Its first race was its only race in stock form which brings me to ch.2 the Cheep Miata, the first evolution was a case of how can this be faster for no money other then the normal maintenance and fixing the dent (done with bolt-cutters and zip-ties don't ask) the first mod was used (yes used) Raceland coilovers, a super foam foamectomy, a  alignment (designed to make the car harder to handle), and plista-dip numbers and grand sport like strips. ch.3 Made LA.co, I found out that a local company was looking for some drivers to sponsor and i thought it would be fun to fill out the form, a few weeks latter I got a email asking if I would like to join Team Made I said yes of course and I am still a member. ch.4 Remember that maintenance well we never got around to hoses and I had one blow at 70mph on the highway, goodbye head gasket and in fact the whole head was toast this lead to the year of motor work (i was taking summer classes and driving home to work on the car when ever i could) finely at the start of this year it was fixed and ready to go. ch.5 Or so I thought but it was not to be after two races the motor was burning oil like crazy, which brings us to today or more accurately tomorrow when I am going to pick up a new motor.
